Experiences of Great Innovators: Filippo Yacob creates a stick robot to teach children to programming
“His name is included in Forbes’s Under 30 people, in which the names of future entrepreneurs and Innovators.”
Filippo Yacob is 29 years old. His name is on this list for the Forbes 30 of under 30 Europe this year, in which names of future entrepreneurs and innovators. Filippo has made Cubetto. This is Wooden Robot. The special thing is that the stick is a robot made to teach children computer programming and coding. This can teach the 3-year-old child the initial origin of coding. The children do not even need to sit further in front of the screen. Filippo’s company name is “Primo Toys”. The company has earned approximately $ 16 million from 96 countries.
“The idea of being a father inspired children to create toys.”
The son of designer and entrepreneur Filippo has become his inspiration. Filippo says that when it was about the early days of 2013, I had met with Co-founder Matteo of the company. He was already working on Toys and Games and wanted to be a London shift. After a few days, I got to know that I am going to be a father. I felt that working on a toy production with a Matteo on should work. The reason for this was that I wanted to make a toy for my son. We agreed that the time of programming, computing and tech toes is coming and this industry is growing. For the past two years, 70% of the newer ones coming on the market were coding toys.
“Prior to the publication of Food Magazine, the company failed twice before launching in 2013.”
Filippo was trying to get out of his old failed startup. He was doing Freelancing designing. In 2009, he started a print magazine on Food Culture, whose name was ‘It Me’. He worked on it for three years. After that, another attempt to startup was unsuccessful. Concerning collecting funds for Cubetto, he says that this was a difficult one but it was not improbable. Actually, you need a product that can impress people. Through the quickstart project, we were successful in assuring people that we have a special product, which definitely needs people. Regarding the technique of Cubetto and the way it works, they say that this is in three parts. There are the first Cubetto in it. This is a programmable robot, which we can show where to go and where to get there and walking there. The second part is the keyboard. This is like as the pathway. They are composed of colorful blocks. Cubetto is directed to the Journey on it. The third is the coding block. Coding block is used on the keyboard. Indeed, this game is a physical programming console, it has a six-color coding block. Apart from this, they also have a design map and an activity book. The perfect kit is a new language of type. It also teaches children of three years about coding and programming. It can be called a block-based coding language. Filippo states that in the beginning, we had a small car which was a Cubetto. We prepared this idea for the quickstart campaign. It had the ability to change its shape. The car could change itself in other shapes, including Van. We put a wooden box on it and made a robot by making a face on it. In such a way the Cubetto became. After that, we felt that this product that was ambushed was very powerful.
